Scope and Content Note: Records of the Governor's Council on Hispanic Affairs. Included are subject files, 1982-1986, consisting of reports, publications, and correspondence on a variety of Hispanic-related organizations, state agencies, and issues, including legislation, the budget, bilingual and minority education, and migrants. Also included is incoming and outgoing correspondence of the Council, 1983-1986; and administrative files, including meeting minutes, files on individual committees, and charts, tables and other records on demographics. There are also records of the 1986 Governor's Council on Hispanic Affairs Conference, earthquake relief material related to the 1985 Mexico City earthquake, and records and photographs pertaining to a trade mission to Mexico.
