Scope and Content Note: Working files, 1976-1978, from a pilot community development program that the Department sponsored in five cities: Boscobel, Chippewa Falls, Rice Lake, Sharon, and Sturgeon Bay. Included are program schedules, records on the selection and evaluation of cities, and committee meeting materials, reports, correspondence, and other records on the program for each of the cities involved. Also included are reports, newspaper clippings, correspondence, and other files, 1978-1979, concerning the Kickapoo River Valley and the provision of support to communities affected by flooding of the river, especially Soldiers Grove; and a correspondence file on planning, 1975-1979, which includes materials on inland lakes, coastal management, tax mapping and other subjects.
