Included is correspondence with the School for the Visually Handicapped, Camp Hayward, Home for Women, School for Boys, School for Girls, Child Center, Thompson State Farm, School for the Deaf, Mendota State Hospital, Wisconsin Memorial Hospital, Winnebago State Hospital, Northern Colony, Southern Colony, and Wisconsin State Prisons. There is also correspondence with various Divisions within the Department of Public Welfare including the Division for Children and Youth, Division of Corrections, Division of Mental Hygiene, and Public Assistance Division. Of note is material related to the Inmate Strike at the Wisconsin State Prison (January 12, 1944) which includes interviews with inmates and information related to prison industries.
