Most Wisconsin progressive leaders campaigning outside of state. YMPA secretary Bill Blake charged that stalwart Republicans “buying” UW-Madison debaters, and leaked story to Capital Times. Blake-volunteered YMPA began to counter stalwart efforts by campaigning in nearby towns and acquired name of progressive “Flying Squad.”
