The seven volumes of diary notes were presented by William D. Leahy, Washington, D.C., June 9, 1955. The six cartons of correspondence and other materials were presented by William H. Leahy, Portsmouth, Virginia, December 1959; the microfilm copy of these materials was transferred from the Department of the Navy in July 1982.
