: Files, 1980-2004, concerning revisions to administrative rule HSS 80 (later renumbered as DWD 40), which set guidelines used by courts to calculate child support payments based on parental income. Included are the correspondence and meeting minutes of the Child Support Guidelines Review Committee, as well as public comment and hearings on changes to the child support guidelines. Also included is research, much of it from the University of Wisconsin Institute for Research on Poverty, focusing on the economic impact of child support payments. This rule was initially administered by the Department of Health and Social Services (later the Department of Health and Family Services, then the Department of Workforce Development, as of 2010 it was transferred to the Department of Children and Families.
