1994/018	Part 1 (1994/018): Original Collection, circa 1939-1942 Physical Description: 21 photographs Scope and Content Note: Photographs probably used in department publications, showing disease and pest control projects, Division of Weights and Measures equipment and activities, cheese testing and grading, and food and crop inspection and grading activities. Several captions specifically refer to war-related activities.
Item 1	Cranberry specialist Note: The cranberry specialist inspects all of the cranberry vines used for planting new bogs and keeps a constant lookout for incipient outbreaks of insect pest and plant disease epidemics which may attack the cranberry crop, and directs control measures.
Item 2	State cheese graders inspecting or grading cheese
Item 3	Ribes eradication, Portage County, Town of New Hope Note: Junior and senior agricultural aides are used in locating and uprooting wild currant and gooseberry bushes to protect white pine stands from the deadly fungus disease, white pine blister rust. 1994/036	Part 2 (1994/036): Additions, 1944-1965 Physical Description: 2206 photographs (in 3 boxes), and 4127 negatives and 5 transparencies (in 12 boxes) Scope and Content Note: Negatives and prints, 1944-1965, of Wisconsin spring market hog shows, beef futurity shows, junior livestock expositions throughout the state, the Wisconsin State Fair, and other events. Note: When this accession was originally processed, a numbering system was used that grouped photographs and negatives together, then numbered everything sequentially by event, then by year, regardless of format. Since the photographs and negatives are filed separately, there are gaps in the numberings of each type of format. As a result, this numbering system is ignored in the contents list.	⇧

2014/019	Part 6 (2014/019): Additions, 1920-1980 Physical Description: 64 photographs, 34 negatives, and 4 transparencies (in 1 archives box) Scope and Content Note: Images, 1920-1980, of bee keeping, cranberry farming, forestry research, and Arbor Day celebrations. Bee keeping images include beehives, bee swarms, apiaries, and beekeeping classes. There is a series of instructional images from 1921 about the process of bee keeping. Cranberry images (which are related to those in PH 2816) show the development of a cranberry marsh, tractors, and plants. Arbor Day events include Governor Dreyfus with Woodsy the Owl, the signing of bills or executive orders, and Governor Knowles holding a shovel.	⇧
