Scope and Content Note: Audio-visual educational materials on maternal and child health (MCH) issues of family planning, 1969-1978, used by the Bureau of Community Health (later the Bureau of Community Health and Prevention) within the Department of Health and Social Services. Records consist of 16mm film prints, LP audio recordings; 35 mm film strips, and discussion guides; as well as a list of additional family planning education resources available nationally. Three titles in the accession consist of multi-media presentation elements that include audio recordings with accompanying film strips (visual components) and discussion guides. The documentary Young, Single, and Pregnant consists of both a documentary film and a multi-media presentation. Film titles Purposes of Family Planning and Vasectomy include study guides inside their film cans.
