: Office of Local History files, 1959-2005, concerning the various programs of that
office including the affiliate program, local history grants, local history awards,
outreach and education to local historical societies, and the Wisconsin Council for
Local History. Materials concerning affiliation include applications from many local
historical societies, activity reports, and the certification process. Yearly grant
files contain grant applications, review materials, and notifications of grant award or
rejection. Local history award materials include nominations and notifications of
winners. Outreach and education materials contain workshop and meeting announcements,
collected articles from local historical societies documenting projects, and information
about the Office of Local History's newsletter, Exchange.
The transparencies document events sponsored by the Office as well as exhibits and
events held by various local historical societies and agencies. Also included are
several VHS video tapes covering various activities of Local History staff as well as
local historical agencies.
