Scope and Content Note: Controlled correspondence, 2005, of Secretary Frank Busalacchi. Correspondence is largely comprised of residents' complaints, inquiries, and suggestions pertaining to road maintenance and repair, construction, safety measures, Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) issues, highway expansions, private property concerns, and school zone issues. Also included is correspondence with Wisconsin corporations (such as Kohler) regarding road construction and highway expansion, as well as with the Department of Administration about budgetary matters, correspondence regarding legal proceedings and questions, grants for various state projects, information about rail programs, and newspaper articles relating to various transportation projects. Files also include drafts of responses from the secretary's office, as well as research materials used in answering questions.
