Abstract:

Black & white and color photographs, negatives, and slides primarily taken to publicize departmental activities and programs such as award ceremonies, highway and bridge dedications, and meetings. Among the documented topics are airports, Amtrak, bridges, covered bridges, buses, EAA conventions, the Great River Road, and interstate highways. Some poor quality copy prints document automobile accidents dating from the 1920s through the 1940s. Governor Tommy Thompson and DOT Secretary Ron Fiedler are prominently featured.
