Scope and Content Note: Issue correspondence, 2003-2007, from legislators and members of the public received by DNR secretary Scott Hassett; each letter includes a copy of the department's response. Correspondence covers a variety of topics related to Wisconsin's natural resources including snowmobiling, county forests, hunting, fishing, endangered species, animal control, wildlife populations, and environmental contaminates. Beginning in 2006 much of the correspondence in this series is available only in electronic form and is numbered in the same system as the paper letters. Electronic correspondence often has a corresponding folder of supporting paper documents. Electronic versions of correspondence are common after number 1800.
