Abstract:
Background material, correspondence, hearing files, tape recordings, notices, rule drafts, and reports relating to administrative rule-making by the Office of General Counsel of the Department of Transportation. Major sections include materials relating to the Habitual Traffic Offender Law, long-truck route designations, blood-alcohol testing, railroad assistance programs, and requirements for the storage of highway salt and intrastate carriage. Although all public hearings are tape recorded, only those for which no paper files or paper summaries were available or for which the testimony was extensive have been retained.
