Scope and Content Note

Investigation Activity Reports contain transcripts from telephone conversations between undercover agents and suspects; face to face interaction with suspects and associates believed to be involved in illegal activity; and reports detailing specific illegal activity by suspects as witnessed by undercover agents.

Transaction Information contents are pieces of evidence from illegal transactions made between suspects and undercover agents. The evidence is made up of receipts; listings of illegal fish taken and sold and the number of each kind; surveillance photos taken of transactions; and listings of investigators involved transaction.

Violation and Defense files contain details of grand jury charges; details of serving of warrants; additional speculation as to suspects' activities; response by suspects or lawyers; and any correspondence made by outside parties to DNR about the investigation.

Operation Information files detail the goals of the sting operations; proposals of activities; correspondence within DNR regarding the progress of the operations; and technical information of day to day operations.

Accounting files contain numbers generated by the sting operations, such as number of illegal fish bought and sold; financial numbers of the operations; and overall sting results.
