General administrative files, mainly 1971-1990, of the Secretary and Executive Assistants of the state Department of Transportation, including correspondence, subject files, interdepartmental memoranda, reports, minutes, clippings, speeches, and reference material. The files document the workings of the department, including its relationship with the governor and other officials, and various policy issues.
