: Disciplinary cases opened 1991-1996 and closed in 1996 concerning physicians and other medical professionals. This accession consists entirely of cases in which the defendant stipulated to the charges. As a result, the information-rich types of historical documents which usually characterize the series are not present here. However, several cases before the board concerned physicians convicted of malpractice; these files include depositions taken for their criminal trials that are of greater value. The Richard Kokemor case is of note because it involved an issue of informed consent that required Wisconsin Supreme Court interpretation. Also of interest is Rosella Hill, who was not a physician, who traveled in Wisconsin using an Interro device to diagnose illness. The Interro device and its instructional materials, which were included as evidence, have been transferred to the WHS Museum collection.
