Scope and Content Note: Miscellaneous correspondence by subject, manuscripts, memoranda, clippings, news releases, pamphlets, circulars, photographs, bills and statements, drafts of legislative bills, reports, and other papers filed by M.S. Dudgeon and C.B. Lester, former secretaries to the Commission, and relating to all aspects of Commission activity. Included are materials formerly filed separately: Manuscripts of prepared speeches and periodical articles; notes compiled by Henry E. Legler about Wisconsin artists, writers, and books; and correspondence and other papers relating to such personal interests of Dudgeon and Lester. Those organizations include Kiwanis Club, United Spanish War Veterans, Boy Scouts, Madison YMCA community affairs, national Municipal league, citizens' councils, cooperation, and the Chicago Century of Progress Exposition of 1933-1934.
