Included is mail received from citizens with questions, concerns and requests for information, with copies of the Department's replies; and correspondence with state agencies, boards and commissions; the Governor and Lieutenant Governor; district attorneys; and state legislators. Also included is correspondence that was carbon copied to the Department. Approximately one fourth of this accession consists of form letters sent to La Follette in 1984 as part of a multi-state effort to protest the making of a movie (ultimately a hoax) on the sex life of Jesus Christ as revealed by the company Modern People News.
