The A.N. Johnson collection is organized in five series. The first three series pertain to Johnson himself. Series one, in Boxes 1 and 7, is personal material, such as correspondence, speeches, and financial papers; series two, in Box 2, is school related papers, namely course notes, lectures, and studies he conducted; the third series, in Box 3, deals with organizations he was associated with. Series four, in Box 4, is material from Johnson's family, including a diary of Edith Stuart, Johnson's future wife, and medical school material of Johnson's son Norman. Series five is photographs and is in Boxes 5 and 6. Box five contains photographs of Johnson and his family along with agricultural subjects. Box six contains unidentified photographs from Wisconsin in general and of unidentified people.
