Herman Taylor was born in 1880 and grew up in Clinton, Rock County, Wisconsin, and later
moved to Delavan, Wisconsin with his family. His father, Arthur E. Taylor, was a portrait
photographer. Herman Taylor was employed as a draftsman for Cutler-Hammer Inc. and
lived in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee and spend summers in Delavan.
