Gershuny, organic farmer, writer, educator, administrator, and consultant. Gershuny served
as a staff member with the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) and was a main writer for several sections of the organic rule standards. She was involved with other organic and sustainable agriculture
organizations, including the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA), Organic Foods
Production Association of North America (OFPANA), Organic Trade Association (OTA), Rodale
Institute, and other national organizations. Gershuny's work as an editor, author, and
teacher is also documented in the papers.
Forms part of the Organic and Sustainable Agriculture Collection.
The Wisconsin Historical Society Library holds Gershuny's memoir, Organic Revolutionary: A Memoir of the Movement for Real Food, Planetary Healing, and Human Liberation.
