Scope and Content Note: Papers of Michael Fellner, a former University of Wisconsin-Madison student, anti-Vietnam war activist, and editor of Take Over, an underground newspaper published in Madison from 1971 to 1979. Included are Take Over's administrative, financial, legal, and subject files, correspondence, photographs, print and near-print ephemera, posters, bumper stickers, and clippings. Also included are copies of FBI files mainly concerning individuals, organizations, and events in Madison, 1959-1977; similar materials from the Madison Police Department Affinity Files, 1968-1977; and tape recordings of speeches and interviews by Fellner, about 1973-1979, with Emile de Antonio, Harvey Goldberg, William Kunstler, Paul Soglin, members of the Weather Underground Organization, and former FBI agents and others.

Physical Description: 70 audio recordings 
Scope and Content Note: Additions, 1960-1983, consisting of audio recordings of Fellner's research for a planned book on Edward Ben Elson, a Madison-area attorney. While researching Elson's life, Fellner taped numerous interviews with Elson's acquaintances, as well as his mother, wife, and ex-wife. There are also two tapes of Elson himself, one made during his unsuccessful bid for district attorney and the other containing an interview with him about his life. Also included are five unidentified micro cassettes and one audio recording relating to "Welcome to L.A.," by Alan Rudolph.
