The awards include correspondence, news clippings, committee materials pertaining to the James Aronson Award for Social Justice as well as the James Aronson Memorial Scholarship. The correspondence consists primarily of letters to Aronson during his stay in China as well as letters to and from the Wisconsin Historical Society Archives regarding the acquisition of the Aronson papers. The writings include a few manuscripts of some of Aronson's work such as “The View from the Noisy Market Street” and The Press and the Cold War.
