Subseries: Billings, Linda
Scope and Content Note: Linda Billings (1963-1969) initially worked in Nelson's office as a secretary (1963-1965), then became a legislative assistant (1966), and finally deputy administrative assistant (1967-1969). Her records primarily document Nelson's attack on the automobile and tire industry which led to hearings before the Commerce Committee and to legislation which called for national standards for tire manufacture.
