Series: Field Services
Biography/History: The Field Services Office (also known as Regional Operations), headed by Roger Mastrude (circa 1958-1968) after Richard Winslow (circa 1957), was responsible for the Regional Offices and the organization of community programming. There were five Regions at one time (later these were consolidated into three regions) each with a Regional Director who provided local administration and programming. Regional Directors reported back to Field Services. The Regional New York office was closely affiliated with the National Office also located in New York.
Roger Mastrude files, Vice President, circa 1958-1968
Note: Mastrude also served as Director of the Western Region and developed the “Great Decisions” program and the Adult Leadership Seminars, and worked collaboratively with School Services to develop educational programs. As such, Mastrude's files are located in multiple parts of the entire collection.
