The Frank Adams Papers provide a good picture of the interconnections of social activists in the South and include varying amounts of detail on Adams' activities. The processed portion of the collection exists in two parts. Part 1 are the files received in the Archives between 1969 and 1979; Part 2 are the files received between 1980 and 1989. Part 1, designated the Original Collection, dates 1957-1979 and comprises Boxes 1-9, the tape recordings with call number Audio 824A, and the microfilm reel. Part 2 was organized in 1990 and is designated the 1990 Additions; it dates 1975-1989 and comprises Boxes 10-22 and the tape recordings with call number Audio 1230A.
Additional papers received subsequently remain unprocessed and are described in Parts 3-13.
