Scope and Content Note: Included in the original collection are correspondence, speeches, reports, treatises, and other internal documents all collected by an anonymous source. The material mainly documents activities in the Atlanta and Chicago areas. Among the topics covered by the papers are African-Americans in the ultra-left, child care at league meetings, women, the labor movement, and the league’s activities in the southern U.S. (particularly relating to the civil rights movement). The collection also includes a copy of the Red Worker Songbook and photographic documentation of the organization’s newsletter, The Call, and the activities and events on which they reported.
