Biography/History

Marc C. Duff was born in Port Washington, Wisconsin on July 4, 1961. A graduate of Eisenhower High School in New Berlin, Duff earned a B.S. in Public Policy and Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1983. He received an M.A. in Public Policy and Administration at the La Follette Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1985. He served on the Waukesha County Board from April 1988 to April 1999, and in 1988 was elected to the State Assembly as a representative of the 84th Assembly district. In the Assembly, Duff was noted for his work on the Environmental and Joint Finance committees. After a legislative run of fourteen years, he was defeated in the April 2002 election in a campaign against fellow Republican Rep. Mark Gundrum after redistricting altered the 84th Assembly district's boundaries.
