National Organization for Women. Milwaukee Chapter: Records, 1971-1983

The Milwaukee Chapter was established in April 1967 at a meeting held at Alverno College. Since its beginning, the chapter has worked on almost every women's issue. These include abortion rights, divorce reform, equal pay and credit legislation, consciousness raising, gender equity in education, poverty, childcare, sex segregation in public places, political campaigns, sexual assault, and marital property reform.
