A past president of the Baton Rouge chapter of the NAACP, he has represented both this organization and CORE as well as individuals in legal contests in the civil rights field. This film consists of his files of closed cases which fall in the years 1958-1966. The files are chiefly legal documents such as petitions, motions, affidavits, etc.; but also include some correspondence, clippings, a few photographs, material from NAACP legal conferences, and a small amount of Ku Klux Klan literature.
