This series is arranged in nine parts (Part I – IX) which are further divided into periods of years. Each part contains folders arranged alphabetically by subjects within a stated period of years, and each subject has a file number. Some large subjects are also subdivided alphabetically and given a “letter” designation (e.g.: YMCA Chicago is C262; “C” indicates Chicago and 262 is the subject file number for the YMCA). The subject divisions are arranged chronologically by year and month within the period of years indicated on the folder.
