Private and business correspondence of Chicago, Illinois industrialist Cyrus Hall McCormick, Jr., consisting of incoming and outgoing correspondence, copies of monthly financial records, annual reports, newspaper clippings, bulletins, photographs, copies of wills, and other legal documents. A wide variety of subjects is covered, including the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company, investments, trusteeships and settlements of estates, charities and donations, membership in many societies, particularly in Chicago, and family affairs.
