Scope and Content Note: The papers include correspondence between Vera, family and friends in Canada, friends in Europe and the United States, and employees at the Credit Union in Madison, Wisconsin where she worked. Also included are reparation claims, immigration papers, permits, residency, citizenship and death certificates pertaining to her grandfather, Bondy Croner, biographical documents and publications about Vera such as parts of her book, photos, newspaper articles, CUNA Credit Union publications, Jewish Social Services of Madison and funeral announcements, as well as numerous pieces of memorabilia such as her international driver's license, passports, and assignments from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with her diploma. Also included are numerous materials on Vera's parents, Max and Hedwig Croner, including their marriage certificate, photos, citizenship certificates, correspondence, documents and evidence detailing Max's service in the German army during World War I, permits and passports for his move to Shanghai to avoid the concentration camps during the war, and records of Max's estate following his death in the United States. Additionally, there are many photographs depicting Max and Hedwig, other family members, Germany, Norway, Argentina, life in the United States, and many photographs of Vera through the years.

Scope and Content Note: Additions, 1948-2010, consisting of biographical materials, correspondence, photographs, and miscellaneous items relating to Vera Croner (1920-2010). Many of the documents relate to her death in 2010 and include her will and power of attorney as well as letters of condolence to Robert Davis, her caregiver and friend. The photographs are of Vera and her family and friends throughout her life from her early years in Germany to the last photo of Vera, taken on her 89th birthday in November of 2009. Also included is a copy of her memoir, detailing her life both during and after World War II including her move to the United States in the 1950s.
