This series includes two cards for most properties; the information on the cards differ. One set of cards, in boxes 1-29, is arranged by name of plat and thereunder by the assessor's number assigned to the parcel. This number may be found by locating the property on a map in the Dane County Atlas (Deer Map Studio, Rockford, Illinois, 1967) catalogued as G1418/D3/D4. Tax rolls for the City of Madison also are arranged by this number. A box list which follows lists the plats for which there are cards; the list is not strictly alphabetical.
A second set of cards is arranged by assessor's number with the cards for parcels having even numbers found in boxes 30-44 and those for odd numbered parcels in boxes 44-59.
