Series: Outbreak and Events Preceding World War I.
Scope and Content Note: Four items are categorized here. Representing both pro-German and anti-German perspectives, the three pamphlets that are housed here were published in England and the United States. These texts attempt to dispel commonly held beliefs about the political causes of the war. The authors place the blame on secret diplomacy, and often use published versions of correspondences as narrative. The final item is a collection of British diplomatic correspondence and diplomatic documents from Russia, Serbia, France and other nations. It was published by the Stationery Office in England.
