The film was produced in association with the Poetry Foundation and created by students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's docUWM media center and by students in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's creative writing program. The film consists of a series of poems by various poets as short animated films. Firer's poem Call Me Piper is the seventh poem in the film. The animation and design for Firer's poem was created by Paula Schultz.
