Architectural Review Board: The ARB is appointed by the mayor,
and the chair also sits on the HTWA Board of Directors. The ARB covers the geographic area
of Business Improvement District No. 2. The ARB oversees proposed exterior changes to
buildings, and issues Certificate of Approval for construction. The records include the
minutes of the ARB meetings, applications and blueprints submitted for review, and the
certificates.
Blueprints: The collection includes numerous blueprints of the
Streetscape Project, parking structure and changes to buildings that were administered by
the Architectural Review Board. Of particular interest are the Streetscape blueprints, which
provide excellent details on the locations of buildings and planned changes.
Board of Directors: The board records contain minutes of
meetings, committee reports, financial and membership information, and the executive
director's notes.
Photographs: In 1991, the association photographed many Third
Ward buildings and streets. The images, found in binder in box 8 are all exterior shots,
organized by street name, then by address. General street scenes are found at the back of
the binder. Images submitted to the Architectural Review Board are found in the ARB
folders.
