Series: 3. House of Peace Community Nursing Center Records,

: Records from the House of Peace Community Nursing Center, an IUHP
partnership focused primarily on women's health issues in the inner
city, particularly Milwaukee's female Hmong community. Many of the
programs were funded by the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation,
including programs that educated women on breast health and a
"Connections for Health" program, which aimed to educate women living in
Milwaukee and the surrounding communities on the health benefits of
early and regular cancer screening, and increase awareness among nursing
students about breast cancer and the importance of early detection. Also
included in this series are records from the Wisconsin Well Woman
Program which addressed health concerns affecting women, included breast
health.
