There are no access restrictions on the materials, and the collection is open to all
members of the public in accordance with state law.
The researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel,
privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of this collection (Wisconsin
Statutes 19.21-19.39).
An unknown donor transferred the collection to the Archives prior to 1989. Center
Director Enrique Figueroa transferred additional materials to the Archives in January 2007
(accession 2006-034). The Department of Sociology transferred additional materials to the
Archives in 2011 (accession 2011-024). Center Director Alberto Maldonado transferred
additional materials to the Archives in February 2020 (accession 2019-018).
Leslie B. Heinrichs processed part of the collection at the Archives in June 1995. Rhonda
Huber completed processing in October 1995. Jenny Juno processed accession 2006-034 in
October 2007. Charles Welborn processed additional material in July 2012. Christel Maass
added a few miscellaneous items to the collection in December 2012 and updated the name of
the collection to reflect its new name. Jessica Neal added materials from accession
2011-024 in November 2016 (Brad Houston supervised). Oral histories were added to the
collection in August 2020. Derek Webb minimally processed accession 2019-018 in September
2021. Shiraz Bhathena processed the electronic records in 2021. In 2023, Shiraz Bhathena
processed electronic records from accession 2022-023.
