The unclassified personnel files in boxes 13-19, 31-33, and 38, as well as the executive
committee and grievance committee materials in boxes 25, 26, 30, 34, and 38 are restricted
in accordance with UWM Personnel File Policy S-42. Access is regulated by Section III.A.2
and III.A.3.
There are no access restrictions on the rest of the collection, which is open to all
members of the public in accordance with state law.
The researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel,
privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of this collection (Wisconsin
Statutes 19.21-19.39). The phyisical media for the DVD is restricted; users must access
the digital version on the network drive.
The original collection was transferred to the Archives before 1989. Carol Kosminski
transferred accession 2007-046 to the Archives in March 2009. The School of Social Welfare
donated additional materials in April 2010 (accession 2009-056). Alissa Mathison
transferred some additional materials in July 2017 (accession 2017-003). Quinn Cory
transferred some additional materials in October 2017 (2017-013).
Mark A. Vargas processed the collection at the Archives between June-October 1993. The
collection originally consisted of 32 series or accessions. Christel Maass added an
additional box of materials in October 1997 (box 22). Jeremy Brett added a few files in
November 2006. Denise Gergetz processed accession 2007-046 in August 2009 (Brad Houston
supervised). Charles Welborn processed additional material in July 2012. Hayley Jackson
updated the finding aid to include information about accession 2009-056 in August 2013.
Ashlie Biddle integrated accession 2009-056 into the collection in September 2016 (Brad
Houston supervised). Christel Maass processed accession 2017-003 in July 2017, and at this
time the creator name/collection title on this finding aid was changed to reflect a name
change from UWM School of Social Welfare to the most current name in the records. Phyllis
Reske added a folder in August 2017. Christel Maass processed accession 2017-013 in
November 2017. Shiraz Bhathena processed the digital files in April 2020.
