The scrapbook consists primarily of local newspaper clippings detailing the planning
of bicentennial activities, the activities themselves, and public reactions to the
activities. Among the clippings are select committee correspondence and
organizational records, programs and ephemera from bicentennial events, and
transcripts of speeches delivered at bicentennial observations.
