The loose photographs consist of nine 7½” x 9½” and six 2¾” x 4½” black and white
photos of the front of houses. There are three 4½” x 6” black and white photos of
the LeRoy Wendt & Associates showroom on N. 12th Street. The album contains 46
8” x 10” black and white photographs of the front façade of houses. Fifteen of those
photographs (p. 32-46) duplicate the photos on the first 15 pages of the album. Page
numbers were added to the back of the pages in the album to make the finding aid
more useful. Because of the fragility of some of the larger photos, the decision was
made in 2010 to put all the loose photos into individual acid-free folders to
minimize the stress on the images when removing them from their enclosures. While
the photos are undated, the period of 1935-1940 is when LeRoy Wendt & Associates
was in business and when the photographs are most likely from.
