The 47 2½” x 3½” black and white photographs in this collection range in date from
1862 to 1867. They were all identified by the original owner of the album, Luella
Grannis (also spelled Louella). These photos are of prominent Milwaukee residents
and their families. They were likely given to Grannis while she worked as a nurse or
nanny for these families. The album and the photographs are in excellent condition
for its age. The spine, pages, and exterior clamps are all intact.
