Access Restrictions

There are no access restrictions on the materials. The collection is open to all in accordance with state law. The public may view collections from the Milwaukee Historic Photo Archives by appointment at the Central Library. To request an in-person appointment, create/login to your Special Collections Account. The researcher assumes full responsibility for conforming with the laws of libel, privacy, and copyright which may be involved in the use of this collection (Wisconsin Statutes 19.21-19.39).

Acquisition Information

The postcards were donated by multiple donors over a period of time. New materials are added to the collection as they are received from individual donors; there is no set schedule for these additions. Materials accessioned as a Historic Photo Collection.

Processing Information

Originally the postcards were part of the Historic Photo Collection (MHPC-6). In 1998, the decision was made to remove all postcards from that collection and to create a discrete collection that only contained postcards. Processed by Jackie Radtke, Photo Librarian, 1998-1999.
