There are no access restrictions on the materials. The collection is open to all
in accordance with state law. The public may view collections from the Milwaukee
Historic Photo Archives by appointment at the Central Library. To request an

Acquired on May 17, 1976, as a donation from Grace Robinson Conway, the widow of
Robert John Conway, John S. Conway’s youngest son. Per the note on the album by
Grace Conway: "Thirty-one views of Soldiers’ Monument in Milwaukee, Wis.
Unveiled June 28, 1898. John S. Conway, sculptor. Photographs apparently taken
shortly after unveiling. This album was among Mr. Conway’s memorabilia and is
sent by his daughter-in-law Grace Robinson Conway who is widow of Robert John
Conway, the sculptor’s youngest son."
