The collection consists of 146 black and white photographs. The photos are mostly 7”
x 9½” but smaller ones are included as well. Many of the photos show the different
types of machinery being used in the field. Koehring provided machinery to companies
and cities all over the United States, and the photos show the machinery being used
mainly for paving by these various entities. Other photos appear to be images of
machinery created for use in publications, such as catalogs and advertisements.
These are images, many of which were likely retouched, that show the machinery on a
plain white background.
