This collection contains portraits of almost 2,000 identified individuals and
families who were in some way related to Milwaukee. The photos come in both color
and black and white. The portraits come in various sizes and are grouped together as
such. Drawers 1-6 of the collection include photos that are 8½” x 11” and smaller.
Drawer 7 contains oversize photos that are between 8½” x 11” and 12” x 16”. Drawers
8-11 contain double oversize images that are larger than 12” x 16”. Because of the
range in sizes in the portraits, it is possible for some individuals to be located
in two or three different places. A few of the portraits only list a last name.
Additional descriptive information has been provided for some of the names.
