The Bureau of Engineers is chiefly responsible for the design and construction of all
streets, sewers, building services, water mains, as well as Milwaukee Water Works
facilities. The Bureau provides planning, review, and coordinating activities for
these programs. In addition, the City Engineer is also responsible for the official
city maps and house numbering within the City.
