Tweedy, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin, attorney and Wisconsin delegate to Congress, 1847-1848, consisting of letters received, 1836-1890, miscellaneous legal papers pertaining to cases in which Tweedy was professionally interested, and letters to Tweedy from his brother Edmund.

Abstract: The records of the Twentieth Century Club, a women's civic organization founded by eight women on April 29, 1901, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to discuss the arts and to support charities, education and social reform. Later that year, it became associated with the State Federated Women's Clubs. Records consist primarily of minutes, programs, and scrapbooks; the latter include newspaper clippings, photographs, ephemera and original watercolor drawings. Annual reports and other reports are included in the minutes and occasionally in the scrapbooks. The photographs include images of meetings and performances put on by the club.

Abstract: The Twentieth Century Club was founded in 1901 as a separate offshoot from the Women's Fortnightly Club of La Crosse. The collection consists mainly of yearbooks from 1926-1977, and a history written in 1982, the last known year of the club's existance.

Abstract: Papers of Nathan Crook Twining, mostly from 1885 to 1924, a Rear Admiral of the United States Navy. The papers contain correspondence, scrapbooks, journals and log books, and navy reports. The materials cover his career in the Navy including the Spanish-American War, travel around the world with the “Great White Fleet,” World War I and work with the United States Naval War College. Also included is a diary between his father and his father’s first wife kept in 1864 during the American Civil War and genealogical material concerning the Twining family.
