Papers consisting of letters received and copies of letters sent by Boyd as Indian agent at Mackinac, Michigan, from 1818 to 1832, and at Green Bay, Wisconsin, through the following decade. A few of the papers deal with Boyd's services as special agent entrusted with private dispatches to the peace commissioners at Ghent in 1814, and two years later as purchasing agent in Europe for the War Department. English
